What it does
Every component is installed the same way you install any other shadcn component, and lands in your codebase as source you own rather than a dependency you import.
The difference is what comes out the other end: platinum window chrome, chiselled bevels, and the particular grey that anyone who used a Mac before 2001 recognises instantly.
Why bother
Most component libraries converge on the same rounded, neutral, slightly apologetic look. Committing hard to a specific era is a way to make an interface feel like it was made by someone.
